Sod & Mulch Services
Six things we do, and nothing else. Sod installation, sod delivery, mulch installation, mulch delivery, and the bed prep and edging work everything else depends on.
Every sod & mulch service we offer in Clearwater
Sod and mulch work looks simple from the driveway. It is not. A full-yard sod install involves reading the grading, checking every irrigation head, and choosing a variety that survives Florida sun and rain without turning brown by August. A mulch bed that floats away in the first summer storm was usually spread too thin, or the wrong type for a sloped bed. Knowing which is which is the whole job.
Below is everything we handle. Each page covers what the work involves, real price ranges, how long it takes, and the questions homeowners actually ask us on site. If you are not sure which service you need, call (727) 555-0200 and describe your yard — we will tell you for free, even if the answer is that you do not need us yet.

Sod: installation and delivery
The bulk of what we do. Sod installation is our most requested job, whether that is one dead patch or a full-yard tear-out and replace on a 6,000 sq ft lot. If you already have a crew or want to lay it yourself, sod delivery gets fresh-cut pallets to your driveway the same day they are cut, not stockpiled and losing moisture for a week.
Mulch: installation and delivery
Mulch installation covers beds cleared, edged and mulched to the right depth for the material — pine bark, pine straw, cypress or rubber. For larger properties or DIY jobs, mulch delivery gets you bulk material by the cubic yard dropped where you need it.
Prep & edging
Lawn bed prep and leveling is the work every good sod and mulch job depends on — grading, weed kill and irrigation checks before anything ships. And landscape edging gives beds a clean steel, paver or trench line that holds instead of blurring back into the lawn within a season.

Sod & mulch service FAQs
That is sod installation, even if it is only a couple hundred square feet. We price per pallet for small jobs, so a spot repair costs a fraction of a full-yard install. If patches are spread across the whole lawn at the same age and condition, we will usually suggest a full re-sod so new sod does not stand out against faded, uneven grass.
Yes. Most of our volume is residential yards, but we also handle HOA common areas, community entrances and commercial landscape beds. For commercial work we provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 before starting, and we can schedule around business hours where access requires it.
Almost always, and it saves you money. A very common combination is sod installation plus landscape edging, or mulch installation plus bed prep and leveling on the same beds. Bundling means one trip, one setup and one price rather than two separate service calls.
Push a finger into the soil near the bed edge. If it is compacted, uneven, or still has live weeds under the old mulch, prep needs to happen first. We check this on every estimate and itemise it separately, so you see exactly what is mulch cost and what is prep cost.
Delivery means we bring fresh-cut pallets to your driveway and you or your crew lays it. Installation means our crew grades, preps and lays the sod for you, with the warranty attached. Delivery-only costs less but skips the grading and irrigation check that keeps sod alive through its first summer.
We do not design landscapes or handle plantings, irrigation installation, or tree work. We are a sod and mulch installation and delivery company, which means we work within an existing landscape plan. If you need a full redesign, we are happy to point you toward landscape designers we trust, and we will be here when the beds need mulch.
Normally within the same week for mulch beds and small sod repairs, and one to two weeks for full-yard sod installs since we order sod to arrive fresh-cut on install day. That stretches during peak spring and summer growing season. Calling earlier in the week generally gets you a better slot than calling Friday afternoon.
One year on sod establishment when you follow the watering plan we provide. That covers sod that fails to root due to an installation issue on our end. Damage from neglect, irrigation failure, or pets is not a workmanship issue, but we will always come repair it at our normal per-pallet rate.
No. Estimates are free and on site, because there is no honest way to price a sod or mulch job from a phone description alone. We measure the yard, check grading and irrigation, and hand you a written flat price. There is no deposit required to get that number and no obligation to book.
Everywhere in our service area at no trip charge: Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, Island Estates, Harbor Oaks, Countryside, Belleair, Belleair Bluffs, Largo, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and Oldsmar. Outside that, call and ask — we sometimes make the drive for larger jobs.
