Where We Work
Twelve communities across Pinellas County. If you are on this list you are on our normal route, which means no trip charge and same-week scheduling in most cases.
Sod & mulch installation across Pinellas County
We are based in Clearwater and we work a tight radius on purpose. A sod crew that drives ninety minutes each way cannot install fresh-cut sod the same day it is cut, or come back next month to check on establishment. Staying inside Pinellas County is what lets us hold a 1-year sod warranty and actually honour it.
It also means we know the ground. Barrier-island lots in Clearwater Beach and Island Estates sit on sandy, fast-draining coastal soil that needs more frequent watering right after install and takes salt-tolerant sod better than most varieties. The mainland communities out in Palm Harbor and Safety Harbor sit on heavier soil where grading before install matters more, since standing water is the bigger risk there than drought.

Home base: Clearwater & the barrier islands
Our home turf and the bulk of our work. Clearwater itself covers a wide range of lot types, from older mainland neighbourhoods with established canopy to open, full-sun new-build lots. We also cover the barrier island communities of Clearwater Beach and Island Estates, plus Harbor Oaks and Countryside on the mainland side.
South Pinellas and North Pinellas
South of downtown Clearwater we work Belleair, Belleair Bluffs and Largo, where established tree canopy means more shade-sod decisions. North into the county we cover Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and Oldsmar — a mix of established and newer-build lots, and a growing share of our route.
Why the radius is deliberately tight
We get asked regularly whether we will drive to Tampa, Sarasota or New Port Richey. Usually the answer is no, and the reason is freshness and the warranty. Sod cut the morning of your install and driven across the bay starts losing moisture the longer it sits on the pallet. A company that drives ninety minutes each way either cuts corners on timing or cannot make the trip work economically, which is exactly why so many sod jobs from out-of-area companies show up stressed before they are even unrolled.
Staying inside Pinellas County also keeps our estimate turnaround at 24 to 48 hours and makes same-day sod installs genuinely possible rather than aspirational. It is a smaller market than we could serve, and it is the reason we can actually do what we say.
What you get regardless of which city you are in
Same crew, same materials, same six services, same flat written pricing and the same 1-year sod establishment warranty. Your ZIP code changes the drive time, not the standard of the work or what you pay per square foot.

Service area FAQs
No. Every community on our service area list is on our normal route, so the price you are quoted is the price you pay regardless of whether you are in Clearwater Beach or Oldsmar. If you are outside the list we will tell you honestly whether the drive works for your job size before we quote.
Estimates usually happen within 24 to 48 hours anywhere in the service area. For the work itself, mulch beds and small sod repairs are typically same-week, and full-yard sod installs run one to two weeks out. Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and Oldsmar sometimes run a day longer simply because of drive time.
Not routinely. Crossing the bay adds enough drive time that we cannot hold our normal scheduling, or guarantee sod arrives fresh-cut, on the other side. For a large multi-thousand-square-foot job it is worth a phone call, but for smaller jobs you will get better service from a Hillsborough-based company.
Yes, and a meaningful share of our work is HOA common areas, community entrances and condo landscape beds. We provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 up front, can invoice the association directly, and are happy to walk the property with a board member or property manager before quoting.
No. Pricing is driven by square footage, sod or mulch type, prep needed and access — not by your ZIP code. A 5,000 sq ft yard costs the same in Largo as it does in Dunedin. Difficult access and extensive grading cost more anywhere.
Yes, significantly. Barrier-island lots in Clearwater Beach and Island Estates sit on sandy, fast-draining soil that needs more frequent watering right after install. Mainland lots in Palm Harbor and Safety Harbor hold water longer, so grading to avoid standing water matters more there.
The older, more established mainland neighbourhoods, where decades of settling and tree root growth create uneven ground. Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and parts of Countryside commonly need more leveling work than the newer-build lots. We check grading on every estimate, in every city, before quoting sod.
Yes, we plan around the forecast everywhere we work. Summer downpours can wash out freshly spread mulch and drown improperly graded new sod, so we time installs to give material a chance to settle before heavy rain, and we will tell you if your install window needs to shift.
We can give you a rough range over the phone or from texted photos, and that is often enough to decide whether to proceed. But the written flat price requires an on-site visit, because square footage, grading and irrigation condition are the three biggest cost drivers and none of them are reliable from a photo.
It genuinely does not matter. The service area pages exist so you can read about your specific community, but the pricing, scheduling and warranty are identical across all twelve. Pick whichever page is closest to you, or just call and tell us your cross streets.
